I know I haven't written in a bit but actually I haven't had anything interesting to write about. Now I do.
At church on Sunday we talked about the Grace of God and I couldn't stop stop thinking about it today. In the King James Version of the bible (lds edition) the bible dictionary says,
"It is through the grace of the Lord Jesus, made possible by His atoning sacrifice, that mankind will be raised in immortality, every person receiving his body from the grave in a condition of everlasting life. It is likewise through the grace of the Lord that individuals, through faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and repentance of their sins, receive strength and assistance to do good works that they otherwise would not be able to maintain if left to their own means. This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts."
We talked about comparing ourselves to a vine. In John 15:1-10 it talks about how God is the vine and we are the fruit, we out the vine there cannot be fruit just like without God we cannot grow and become better.
Anyways, thought I'd share my thoughts. If you wan to know more there's also some really great things if you search "Grace" on lds.org.
